Scott Bannan
Scott's life has always revolved around motorcycles and the adventure and freedom they bring. With over 45 years of riding experience in both road racing and motocross, the bike has always been his escape. It’s how he stays grounded, maintains his mental health, and feeds his soul. Whether it is being wide open on a 450 or just having a cruisy ride with his mates - helmets bring smiles.
He doesn’t do anything by halves — never has. When Scott commits, it’s all or nothing. That mindset drove him to become a 3-time Professional Muay Thai World Champion and a Hall of Fame Inductee.
Frustrated by a stagnant local fight scene, Scott began promoting his own events. Scott turned The Sport around, and started what is still known as The Golden Era in Australian Muay Thai. Promoting legends like Ian Jacobs, Nugget, Bruce "The Preacher" Macfie, F16 Shannon Forrester and many more. He brought back corporate sponsors and secured prime-time media coverage, breathing life back into the sport.
His experience in fighting naturally extended into mentoring and training elite motocross athletes, to bring them to their peak, physically and mentally — including icons like Peter "Reggie" Melton, Brenden Harrison, Jake Moss, Kirk Gibbs, Wade Hunter and the list goes on.
Working closely with these riders, he saw a gap in the sport — a lack of proper rider representation. In classic Scott fashion, he stepped up. Teaming with stars like Robbie Marshall and Brenden Harrison, he launched his own race team and began running SuperX events, eventually delivering the Queensland rounds of the Australian SuperX Championship. His mission: more prize money, lower entry fees, and most importantly, putting riders — the real stars — first.
At a time when SuperX was struggling in Australia, Scott and Pauly gave the sport the shot in the arm it needed, and riders still say that they were the best shows they ever rode in.
Now, Scott is bringing that same energy and mentality to adventure riding. After exploring epic motorcycle tours around the world, he realised something powerful: the adventure was only just beginning.
Sideways Expeditions was born from that spark. Whether it’s a VIP tour that blends luxury with breathtaking adventure, or a raw, rugged expedition that tests your limits — Scott’s goal is the same: to deliver the greatest ride of your life. Or as he puts it, something that’ll “put hairs on your chest.”
Sideways Expeditions stands out from the crowd because, for our team, delivering these life changing tours and expeditions is our passion. Delivering your ultimate dream is what we were born to do. We're here to change your life!

Brianna Gimbert
Bri is an adventurer at heart with a deep passion for exploring the world and pushing boundaries. While she may not be riding motorcycles herself (yet), Bri has always been in pursuit of the next big thrill through rock climbing, hiking, camping, kite surfing, bungee jumping and sky diving — you say jump, she says from how high. In fact, Bri’s been camping since she was in nappies - she’s probably spent more time in a tent than most people spend in their beds.
Whether it’s projecting a cliff face, befriending a stray dog on a Peruvian hike or spending nights under the stars with nothing but mosquitoes, a campfire and her Cavalier for company, Bri has developed a strong sense of perseverance, problem-solving, and mental focus. All of which come in handy when trying to figure out how to set up a tent in the middle of a windstorm.
Behind the scenes, Bri is an administrative powerhouse who can organize chaos with the precision of a Swiss watch. With an eagle eye for detail and a superhuman ability to juggle logistics, she makes sure every adventure runs smoother than a freshly paved road. Her organisational skills are so sharp, she could probably plan a cross-country road trip with nothing but a map and a large bag of snacks.
Bri believes that life’s greatest adventures are just outside your comfort zone—whether it’s conquering a cliff, trekking a challenging trail, camping under the stars, or cruising down the open road. She's excited to help build a community where like-minded individuals can experience the thrill of adventure together.
